Cilantro – Rid Heavy Metals from your body!
Did you know that Cilantro detoxes heavy metals out of your body? The cilantro at South Coast Farms this week was bursting with aroma!!!!!!! I seriously couldn’t smell enough of it!!! My integrative functional medicine doctor recommends to me to add cilantro into my daily diet, I said OF COURSE! I LOVE cilantro! Cilantro naturally cleanses heavy metals in your body by binding to toxic metals and loosening them from our tissues. I have had some trace heavy metals show up in my blood work for some time now.. I recently removed my mercury fillings (finally!) from a dentist who knows how to do this safely, and cilantro helps cleanse me also along with some other detoxing I am doing… I LOVE my doctor, Dr. Bita from Center for New Medicine in Irvine. She was also interviewed on the documentary series, The Truth about Cancer… FEELS good to get healthy once and for all! When doing detoxes, it is best to do in depth detoxing with an integrated functional doctor who is versed and can guide you in a safe way and that works for your body’s needs.
Natural Health 365 does a great job discussing cilantro and it’s benefits in this article HERE.

I LOVE cilantro too! In fact, I just made a “too die for” side dish last night with sweet potatoes, red onion and cilantro. I just tossed them together with a little olive oil (maybe I should be using another oil, coconut oil maybe?), sea salt (I still need to read about what salt is the best) and pepper. I baked it at 450 for about 45 minutes. I could not get over it! It was so, so yummy!!
That combo sounds amazing!!!!! Pink Himalayan Salt or Celtic Sea Salt I find the best, most nutritious salt full of minerals our bodies need, I did a great post on salt you can read in your spare time.. ha! Like you have a lot.. 😉 I made a loaded baked sweet potato last week that was amazing! I will be posting that recipe at some point soon… Coconut oil is best for cooking, I do use olive oil for some cooking, like my lamb shops because I like that taste better in that situation. With onion/cilantro and sweet potato, I might try grass fed butter for my fat to cook with.. Best healthy full fats are grass fed butter, ghee, lard and coconut oil to cook with… xoxoxo Olive Oil is amazing for you too, I use it cool on salads and things like that most. Thank you for sharing!!!!
